The Golden Rule
Along my early studies of Immanuel Kant in high school I learned about the Golden Rule. Up until today, this rule is like a manifest for respect to me. It places yourself at the level, status and position of any other being, thus enforcing decency in behavior for yourself and others.
I have seen great respect and even greater disrespect in my life. While respect can be one of the most powerful traits to approach, establish and strengthen a relationship, disrespect could crush both relationship and everyone involved to a devastating extent.
Mindful Behavior
Thus, respect is extremely important for any social system to survive and strive. In professional context, one single disrespectful move can cause tremendous harm to effectivity. It probably is the most downplayed risk / reward factor in both enterprises and small businesses.
I aspire to engage not only with respect, but at the same time ask for others to engage with me with mindful decency and behavior.

Cooperation requires Coexistence
It is again and again of incomprehensible wonders for me on why such a fundamental pillar of human relationship hygiene is utterly disregarded.
Wether it is in a professional context, where literally cooperation and coordination is a huge productivity factor, or in personal life, where sometimes people don't even remotely care to treat others on how they want to be treated themselves.
What remains important to me is that respect is the most predictable success factor of all means of behavior to establish, maintain and strengthen any type of human relationship.
